What’s that? You didn’t think about a Sailor MoonAvengers mash-up? Me neither. But they’re still pretty awesome. Plus I love the illustration technique used. Created by ANN MARCELLINOLINO. Prints available HERE.

Jordan Knight sings the Old Navy Catalog

This is not a joke. Well, it is. But it’s also a legit Old Navy ad. And it’s hilarious. Jordan Knight, New Kids on the Block member, sings the Old Navy catalog in this spot from Crispin Porter + Bogusky. And don’t forget, you can visit JORDANSINGSOLDNAVY.COM for more! “Flip Flops” is my favorite track, in case you were wondering.

Verizon on the art of communication

Wednesday, June 6, 2012 | No Replies

I get a warm & fuzzy feeling every time I see Verizon’s commercial celebrating Dads & Grads. The little elbow nudge at the end and the subtitles used throughout? Love it. This would have been a perfect addition to my class presentation on language in design/advertising way back during senior year (watch ads from that presentation HERE). Verizon’s equally entertaining Mother’s Day ad (with the sobbing mother & daughter) is after the jump.
